Who Should Attend
By January 1, 2006, employers who operate in California and employ 50 or more people must complete a mandatory sexual harassment training for supervisors. Employers still have a responsibility under California and federal law to provide workplace harassment prevention training to non-supervisory employees as well.
In addition to managers and supervisors who must attend, employers are strongly encouraged to include non-supervisory staff in training sessions. Respect in the workplace, when properly demonstrated, can not only boost employee morale and productivity, but can greatly reduce the potential liabilities of an employer.
No company can afford to place themselves in violation of state requirements.
